1933 – 2016

RUMFORD — Edmond J. Doiron, 83, of Congress Street passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, at his home as was his wish.

He was born in Jay on Oct. 24, 1933, a son of Joseph E. and Claudia (Richard) Doiron. He just celebrated his birthday with family and friends.

Edmond worked for the Hope Association for many years. He loved watching Western movies and classic Western TV programs from his large collection. Edmond also loved traveling to visit family.

Surviving are his sisters, Theresa Smith of Woburn, Mass., Evelyn Chandler and husband, Paul, of Carlisle, Pa., Esther Richard of Weston, Vt., Louise Prather of High Point, N.C., Laurette Favor of Jackson, Calif., and Noella Beaulieu and husband, Roland, of Florida; brother, Francis Doiron of Chula Vista, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Gerald Doiron; and a sister, Eva Thibeault.
