WEST PARIS — Two Oxford women were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Route 26 early Monday evening, according to Oxford County Deputy Derek MacDonald.
Kevin Billings, 54, of West Paris was driving south and stopped to make a left turn into J and K Sporting Goods when his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was rear-ended by a Toyota Corolla, MacDonald said.
Hazel Clifford, 81, of Oxford was operating the Toyota with passenger Winona Farrington, 79, also of Oxford, MacDonald said. The two women were injured and transported by Tri Town Rescue to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.
MacDonald said Billings’ vehicle was pushed into the northbound lane where it collided with another Chevrolet Silverado operated by Darick Whitney, 51, of Norway. His 13-year-old son, Darick Whitney Jr., was with him.
Both trucks received minor damage; the Toyota was destroyed and towed.
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4:45 p.m. scene with assistance from West Paris Fire Department. The road was cleared by 6 p.m.
