 BLUE HILL — All Maine students, high-school age and younger, who love to write original music are invited to participate in the 2017 Young Composers’ Competition and Festival.  Students can win prize money for their creative efforts: $200 for first place, $125 for second place, and $75 for third place.  Three winners will be chosen in age group 13 and younger, and three winners in age group 14 and older.  The deadline for sending an original music composition to the Bagaduce Music Lending Library  is Feb. 10, 2017.  Details about the competition, guidelines and entry forms are available on the library’s website, www.bagaducemusic.org.  Click on the “Events” link and then “2017 Young Composers’ Competition and Festival.” FMI: all 207-374-5454 for more information.
