FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week. 

Shadow, the Cat of the Week, may look grumpy, but she is a sweet and snuggly 5-year-old hoping to find her fur-ever home. 

Katie, the Dog of the Week, has it all — looks, brains and personality. This 2- to 3-year-old dog enjoys meeting new people and making new friends, but she likes to be the center of attention, so she would do best as an only dog. With socializing, Katie may get over her “inner diva.” She is fun-loving, goofy, playful and full of energy — the perfect dog for someone who’s always on the go. 

Shadow, Katie and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road.
