, 62, Rumford was arrested on Congress Street by Rumford Police Department and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency on charges of unlawful possession of a schedule W drug and illegal importation of schedule W drugs. Maine State Police, U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Postal Inspection Service assisted.

Galner was arrested after picking up a package containing 14 grams of methamphetamines. He was transported to Oxford County Jail and is to appear in court Feb. 13.

• Dec. 14, 3:52 p.m.: John Beardsley, 44, of Rumford was arrested on Pine Street on a charge of domestic violence assault by officer Matthew Desroches. Beardsley was released on unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 9 at 8:30 a.m.

• Dec. 15, 5:23 p.m.: Rhonda S. Welch, 33, was arrested on charges of operating after suspension and violation of conditions of release. She was also issued two traffic infractions. She is to appear in court Feb. 13.

• Dec. 13, 8:33 p.m.: Kevin Sullivan, 22, of New Hampshire was arrested on an outstanding warrant on a charge of burglary on Main Street in Mexico. He was taken to Oxford County Jail for extradition.

• Dec. 10, 1:34 p.m.: A Mexico resident reported that a tub was stolen from outside a property he owns on Erchles Street. Sgt. Tracey Higley is investigating.

• Dec. 9, 8:45 p.m.: Dennis St. Cyr, 44, of Peru was arrested on Crescent Avenue on charges of operating under the influence, operating without a license, operating after suspension and violating conditions of release. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail and was given a Rumford District Court date of Feb. 13 at 8:30 a.m.

• Dec. 9, 12:55 p.m.: A Falmouth Street resident reported her purse stolen. Sgt. Tracey Higley is investigating.

• Dec. 9, 10:15 a.m.: Heather Buotte, 31, of Rumford was arrested on two warrants on a charge of probation revocation by police officer Matthew Desroches on River Street. Buotte was transported to Oxford County Jail.

• Dec. 7, 10:28 p.m.: Amanda Burgess, 37, of Mexico was arrested on Carlton Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld and was transported to Oxford County Jail with a Jan. 9 court date.

• Dec. 7, 9:22 p.m.: Jachin Caron, 26, of Mexico was arrested on Carlton Avenue on a charge of domestic violence assault and was transported to Oxford County Jail. He is to appear in court Jan. 9 at 8:30 a.m.

• Dec. 6, 9:06 p.m.: Heather McAlister, 27, of Rumford was arrested on Knox Street on a charge of operating after habitual offender revocation. She was released on $500 unsecured bail and is to appear in court Feb. 13 at 8:30 a.m.
