BETHEL — Senior center Marcus Bailey notched a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Oak Hill to a 54-40 victory over Telstar in boys’ basketball actoin Friday evening.

The Raiders (3-2) flourished in the second quarter with a 17-5 margin that gave them a 27-14 halftime lead. Darryn Bailey contributed 10 points for Oak Hill.

Senior guard Zach Stone tossed three field goals from 3-point range to lead the Rebels (1-4) with nine points in the losing effort.

Girls’ basketball

Mountain Valley 53, Wiscasset 19

RUMFORD — Senior guard Ashley Russell drained 14 points to go along with seven steals and five assists as Mountain Valley cruised to a 53-19 victory over Wiscasset in girls’ basketball action Friday evening.

The Falcons jumped out to a 26-10 halftime lead. Senior forward Liza White contributed 12 points for Mountain Valley.

Junior guard Maebe Blodgett led the Wolverines with six points on two field goals and a pair of free throws in the losing effort.
