Sunday, Jan.29, UU Theater presents “The Beet Poets of Wayne, Maine,” a folksy variety show featuring spoken word and music. Beet Poets fervently believe in poetry that won’t put people off poetry. Performers include David Moreau, Jay Franzel, Claire Hersom and Steve Cowperthwaite, and musical poet Stan “Big Cat” Davis. Tickets are $5 for 12:30 p.m. matinee.
