Edward Little 64, Mt. Ararat 21

AUBURN — Senior center Jordyn Reynolds and sophomore guard Grace Fontaine each scored a game-high 16 points as Edward Little crushed Mt. Ararat 64-21 in girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Red Eddies (10-2) erupted for 23 points in the second quarter to break the game open, and then went on a 19-4 run in the third quarter to add distance.

Senior guard Nikki Bradstreet hit three 3-point field goals for the Eagles (2-10).

Winthrop 42, Carrabec 20

NORTH ANSON — Adlin Chaparin poured in 15 points as Winthrop doubled up Carrabec 42-20 in girls’ basketball action Monday afternoon.

The Ramblers (6-4) turned up the tempo in the second quarter with a 17-4 run. Aaliyah Wilson-Falcone furnished another nine points for Winthrop.

Mackenzie Baker delivered a team-high seven points for the Cobras (2-8).

Bangor 49, Oxford Hills 42

BANGOR — Katie Bulter banked a game-high 14 points to lead Bangor to a 49-42 victory over Oxford Hills in girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Rams chipped away at the Vikings each quarter until realizing a seven-point margin at the final buzzer. Abby Hougton added 10 points for Bangor.

Erin Morton tossed a team-high 13 points for Oxford Hills, which is currently playing without injured starter Jadah Adams.

Boys’ basketball

Edward Little 70, Mt. Ararat 54

TOPSHAM — Senior forward Jarod Norcross Plourde and senior guard Samatar Iman posted 18 points apiece as Edward Little dispatched Mt. Ararat, 70-54, in boys’ basketball action Monday.

Sophomore center Sean Balster aired out a game-high 25 points on 11 field goals and three free throws for the Eagles (2-10).

Junior guard Darby Shae nailed five 3-point field goals to contribute 15 points for the Red Eddies (12-0) in the winning effort.

Spruce Mountain 81, Mt. View 55

JAY — Senior point guard Austin Darling collected a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists as Spruce Mountain soared to an 81-55 victory over Mt. View in boys’ basketball action Monday.

The Phoenix (11-1) went on a 25-8 run in the second quarter. Brett Frey and Noah Preble netted 17 points along the way.

Devon Davis tallied a team-high 11 points for the Mustangs.

Oxford Hills 69, Bangor 59

PARIS — Matthew Fleming paced Oxford Hills to a 69-59 victory over Bangor on Monday with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Cole Verrier dropped in 15 points, while Chris St. Pierre had 10.

Henry Westrich had 16 points for Bangor. Damien Vance and Ian Nagle added 13 points each.

Boys’ ice hockey

Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-NG 5, Noble/Wells 2

AUBURN — Junior left wing Connor Cyr netted two goals and an assist as Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester skated to a 5-2 victory over Noble/Wells in boys’ ice hockey action Monday.

The Kings (3-2-1) jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first period. Senior defenseman Lucas Perry contributed three assists for Poland/Levitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester.

The Knights (3-7) scored a goal in each of the first and second periods. Cam Barker assisted on both goals for Noble/Wells in the losing effort.

Grils’ ice hockey

Lewiston/Monmouth/Oak Hill 4, Brunswick 1

LEWISTON — Jordyn Mynahan tabulated two goals and an assist as Lewiston/Monmouth/Oak Hill slid to a 4-1 victory over Brunswick in girls’ ice hockey action Monday afternoon.

The Dragons (6-8) opened the scoring with a tally from Jenna Brooks at the 6:13 mark of the first period.

The Devils (5-6-1) reacted with four unanswered goals. Katie Lemieux pitched in with a goal and an assist for Lewiston in the winning effort.

EL/Leavitt/Poland 10, Mt. Ararat 0

AUBURN — Taylor Callier and Saige Arseneault had two goals and two assists each to lead Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland to a 10-0 win over Mt. Ararat on Monday.

Mariah Vallancourt and Brianna Doucette each had a goal and an assist for Red Hornets.

Delaney Morneau, Haley Frohlich, Madison Simard and Allison MacKenzie each had a goal for EL/Leavitt/Poland (9-3-1).

Mt. Ararat is now 0-13.
