FARMINGTON — Punkin and Milton are the Pets of the Week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Dog of the Week Punkin is a 3-year-old, DNA tested American staffordshire. He is a very active dog who loves to run. He is goofy and sweet, so play time is never dull. Despite all this energy, Punkin is attentive to his handler. He will require a home without cats, which are too much fun to chase.

Milton, who is less than a year old, is the Cat of the Week. He is a very active cat looking for a large home to accommodate his play time needs along with an owner who will enjoy playing with him.

Punkin, Milton and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
