AUBURN — Seven different players scored and Leavitt/Edward Little/Poland celebrated senior night in style Wednesday, earning a 9-3 win over visiting Brunswick in a girls’ hockey tilt at the Norway Savings Bank Arena.
Saige Arsenault and Haley Frolich had a pair of goals each in the Red Hornets’ victory, their 12th in 17 games this season.
Taylor Cailler added a goal and two assists, and Mariah Vaillancourt added a goal and a helper. Maranda Guimond turned back all but three shots she saw to earn the victory between the pipes.
Brunswick’s Jenna Brooks led the Dragons (8-9) with a pair of goals.
Hebron 2, Holderness 1
HEBRON — Taylor Leech had a goal and an assist to lead the Lumberjacks to a 2-1 girls’ hockey victory over Holderness.
Leech assisted on Sara Younk’s goal to give Hebron a 1-0 lead in the second period. After Sidney Parker tied it up early in the third for Holderness, Leech scored the game winner at the 7:08 mark for Hebron. Lauren Rousseau and Kat Niles had the assists.
Emily Town made 29 saves for Hebron, while Kiely Smiga-McManus made 31 saves for Holderness.
Girls’ basketball
Mountain Valley 57, Carrabec 25
CARRABEC — Ashley Russell had 16 points to pace the Falcons to a 57-25 victory over Carrabec in an MVC girls’ basketball contest Wednesday.
Liza White had 11 points in helping Mountain Valley improve to 14-2. Julia Perry chipped in with 10 points.
Bailey Dunphy had nearly half of Carrabec’s (3-14) points, scoring 12 in the losing effort.
Lisbon 60, Mt. Abram 38
SALEM — Three Greyhounds scored in double figures, and Lisbon pulled away in the second half to defeat Mt. Abram 60-38 in girls’ basketball action Wednesday.
Kaylin Le paced Lisbon (9-8) with 14 points. Jasmin Le put up 12 points and Giana Russo scored 11. The Greyhounds also got nine points from Kipri Steele and eight from Ali Sult.
Lisbon led 23-19 at halftime, but then outscored Mt. Abram 37-19 after the break.
For Mt. Abram (8-8), Summer Ross led all scorers with 17 points.
Hebron 52, Kents Hill 31
KENTS HILL — Franceska Halloran had 22 points to lead the Lumberjacks to a 52-31 victory over Kents Hill on Wednesday.
Halloran also had 10 steals. Maddy New and Eliza Quinones each had 10 points for Hebron (9-5). Quinones had eight rebounds.
Leah Herbin led Kents Hill (1-10) with 13 points.
Unified Basketball
Oak Hill 68, Richdale 63
FARMINGDALE — Alexis Bean led the Oak Hill unified basketball team to a 68-63 victory over Richdale on Wednesday at Hill-Dale High School.
Bean topped all scorers with 26 points.
Emma Chase paced Richdale with 17 points in the loss.
Boys’ basketball
Lisbon 67, Mt. Abram 34
LISBON — Hot-shooting Jonah Sautter and Sean Scott led the Lisbon boys’ basketball team to a 67-34 rout of Mt. Abram on Wednesday.
Sautter (22 points) and Scott (15 points) each drained five 3-pointers in the win. Josh Huston also made a 3, his coming at the first-half buzzer. Tyrese Joseph added 16 points for the Greyhounds (9-7).
Trevor Chaput paced the Roadrunners (4-11) with 10 points.
Boys’ hockey
Hebron 6, NYA 2
YARMOUTH — Waltteri Rannisto notched a hat trick as Hebron Academy’s boys’ hockey team jacked North Yarmouth Academy 6-2 on Wednesday.
Rannisto tallied goals in each period for the Lumberjacks (10-12). Luke Graigner, Phil Gilmore and Declan Dennehy also scored for Hebron, and Sean Kimura had four assists.
Dana Nichols and Hunter Mahoney scored for NYA (6-15).
