SABATTUS — One man died and two other people were injured in a head-on crash on Middle Road on Sunday evening, police said.
Golden Baise Jr., 58, of Wiscassett was driving a 2016 Ford Edge SUV that collided with a 2008 Toyota Tundra driven by Robbie Robbins, 38, of Harpswell at 5:26 p.m., Sabattus Police Chief Gary Baillargeon said.
Baise died at the scene, and his wife and passenger Dawn Baise, 50, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with unknown injuries, the chief said.
He said Robbins also was taken to CMMC by ambulance with undisclosed injuries.
The Sabattus Police Department is investigating the crash with assistance from Maine State Police for the reconstruction and forensic mapping, Baillargeon said.
