Four comedians added to show

JAY — Four more comedians and a call to help have been added to Laughs & Apps comedy show at LeFleur’s Restaurant, Saturday, Feb. 25.

According to show host Ben Roberts, the event is now a benefit for Jamie Walp, a coworker of his who fell from a roof while shoveling snow and now faces several back surgeries.

Added to the evening’s roster are comedians R.A. Sweeney, Danny Jordan, Sam Pelletier and Mark Reilly.

Sweeney isn’t going to debate his case for funniest lawyer in Maine, but no doubt about it. He’s done comedy all over southern and central Maine. He was in Portland Comedy Festival 2016 and has performed at The Franco Center in Lewiston.

Danny Jordan is busy proving he’s funny. He enjoys sitting at the kids’ table at holidays. He was a finalist in The Couch At Empire Comedy Competition Winter 2016 and is currently participating in Bear Bones Beer Last Comic Laughing in Lewiston.

Sam Pelletier has been doing comedy for several years. He’s been in the Green Mountain Comedy Festival, won the Brown Crown of Westbrook and opened for Jake “the Snake” Roberts of WWE wrestling.

And Mark Reilly is a hot cocoa loving postman. Recently back from the inauguration down in D.C., he’s looking to keep comedy great. He was in the Broken Record Show at the Wild West Comedy Festival 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Already scheduled to appear were comedians Dawn Hartill, Mark Turcotte and Johnny Ater.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $15, which includes admission and one appetizer. Call 897-2117 for reservations.
