LEWISTON — Avery Goulding, 15 of Auburn became the youngest female bowler in the history of the state of Maine to bowl a sanctioned 300 game on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Sparetime Recreation in Lewiston.
It was during the first game of her youth league competition. Avery also became the second youngest bowler (male or female) in the state’s history to achieve perfection at 15. It is the first 300 game ever thrown by a female youth bowler at Sparetime. Avery is a sophomore at Edward Little and is also the current high average holder for girls in both league and high school bowling competition. She has aspirations to bowl collegiately at a top college program and possibly become a professional bowler after she finishes school.
