POLAND — Voters in Poland will have an opportunity to meet candidates for town offices at the annual Spring Candidates Night on Thursday, March 23.
It will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Town Office’s conference room. The forum is sponsored by Friends of Ricker Library and will be moderated by Randall LaClaire.
Each candidate will make an introductory statement and participate with members of the audience in a question-and-answer session. The meeting will be televised on the local public access channel.
Raymond Cloutier and Mary Beth Taylor are vying for one seat on the Board of Selectmen.
Melanie Harvey, Joseph Parent and Edward Rabasco are vying for two seats on the Regional School Unit 16 board.
Also participating will be candidates for Budget Committee and Charter Commission.
The election will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 31, at the Town Hall. The business portion of the town meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 1, in Poland Regional High School’s auditorium.
