Ava Pablo of Auburn recently presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society with donations from her 10th birthday. Pablo, a student at the East Auburn Community School, asked for donations for the pets in lieu of birthday gifts. Party guests donated pet food, treats, toys, collars and cleaning supplies to help with the care of the thousands of unwanted animals the Humane Society helps each year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and donations of concerned citizens.
