AUBURN — Laura L. Turner, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away May 7 at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.

Born Sept. 10, 1927, to Bernard and Alice Lowell, Laura was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of many. She married her soul mate, Norman S. Turner, on March 6, 1946, and together they raised two loving sons. Laura was devoted to her family. A favorite spot was Pleasant Pond in Turner where she enjoyed many celebrations and cruising the shoreline.

Laura’s hobbies included attending card classes with her friends from the Esplanade, shopping, dining out and texting her family — a recent addition to her methods of communication!

She was a Sunday school teacher and lifelong parishioner at Court Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ellen and Ruth and her husband of over 54 years, Norman.

Laura is survived by and will be forever be missed by sons Bernard and wife, Jane, of Turner and Norman and wife, Nancy, of Lewiston; grandchildren Katie and husband, Tony Letourneau, of Hebron, Jeffrey Turner of Georgia, Kelly and husband, David Cabral, of Turner, James and wife, Susan Turner, of North Carolina and Travis Turner of North Carolina; great-grandchildren Cameron, Cade, Colin, Nolan, Mary, Chloe, Anden and Dane.
