GREENE — Maurice A. Denonville, 81, of Greene and previously of Auburn, went home with his Lord on Tuesday, May 23, at his residence.

He was born in Brunswick the son of Louis and Rosalie (Ouellette) Denonville.

Maurice married Lorraine Simoneau on Dec. 28, 1958.

He worked at Pejopscot Paper Mill for 25 years and then went on to work at Sacred Heart Church as a custodian and retired from there.

Maurice was a member of Holy Family Church in Lewiston. He enjoyed camping, family gatherings and boating. He was a joy to his family and all who knew him. His greatest attribute was his warm, friendly and outgoing personality. And everyone will always remember him as a comedian.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine; sons, Gary Denonville and wife, Linda, of Greene, Ricky Denonville and wife, Debbie, of Canton; daughters, Linda Magoon and husband, Clint, of Lewiston, Brenda Williams and husband, Nelson, of Mechanic Falls; grandchildren, Jennifer Therriault, Christopher Magoon, Crystal Magoon, Nick Williams, Nathan Williams and Nigel Williams; sister, Theresa Barbon; and several nieces and nephews.

Maurice was predeceased by brothers, Roland and Robert; sister, Rita Clark; grandchildren, Eric Denonville and Nolan Williams.
