The “Just Us” Entertainers will present their final benefit concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center in Lewiston.
They were the first group to perform at the center in August of 2000 to raise funds for the Festival de Joie.
Their first show was in September 1990 for the Lewiston Elks Emblem Club.
Since then, the eclectic group of families and friends has performed at the center 38 times. The group performed at every Memorial Day ceremony since then. Up to 2015, they performed at every Veterans Day ceremony at the Lewiston Armory.
For many years, the group performed at the Franco Center to raise money for the nonprofit organization. This will be the 17th year the Entertainers have held such an event.
“Just Us” has performed over 200 times for the people of Lewiston-Auburn, with as many as 22 active members. The final performance will feature its 13 remaining performers, led by Nel Meservier.
Tickets are $12; $10 for seniors (60 and over); students are free. They can be obtained by visiting the Box Office, purchased online at francocenter.org, or by calling 207-689-2000. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m.
