Daughters to tour Norlands

LEWISTON — The Mary Dillingham Burnt Meadow Chapter of the Maine Daughters of the American Revolution will enjoy a tour of the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14.

There is no cost for the tour, and any prospective member is welcome to attend. Maine State Regent Liz Hotchkiss will be the honored guest.

Those attending should bring a picnic lunch. The carpool will meet at 10 a.m., at Hope Haven Gospel Mission in Lewiston.

Androscoggin County Democrats meeting

LEWISTON — The monthly meeting of the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Armory, on Central Avenue. The entrance is through the doors marked “CC” to the right of the main entrance.

The special guest speaker for this month’s meeting is Janet Mills, Attorney General for the State of Maine, who will speak about scams targeting Maine citizens, particularly those aimed at seniors. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.

Androscoggin County Democrats and other interested persons are encouraged to attend this very timely presentation.
