AUBURN — Carmen I. Morin, 92, formerly of 45 Old Greene Road, Lewiston, and a resident of Schooner Estates in Auburn for the past seven years, died Thursday, June 15, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn.
Born in Lewiston on Dec. 9, 1924, she was the daughter of George and Imelda Gagne Bosse. She grew up in Little Canada, and on Aug. 14, 1945, she married Rene L. Morin. Mr. Morin passed away July 14, 2006.
Carmen worked for several years in the local shoe industry and for Raytheon, and she was a dedicated wife and mother. Carmen loved to dance, cook for her family, and was a talented seamstress. She will be greatly missed at Schooner Estates, were she was known for her sunny disposition and ready smile.
A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by a son, Richard, and wife, Lora, of Turner; two daughters, Joan and husband, Arthur Stavros, of Tamarac, Fla., and Claudette and husband, Charles Saul, of Jasper, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Claire Thorne in 2012, and Pauline Wheelington, 2014.
