GRAY — An Auburn woman was transported to a hospital Tuesday, after her vehicle and another collided on the Maine Turnpike, Maine State Police Cpl. Joe Bureau said.

Kandace Poirier lost control of a Ford Explorer SUV and it flipped, sideswiping a Kia sedan driven by Robin Bennett of Gorham. 

Poirier was transported to a Lewiston hospital for evaluation. “She was mostly just shaken up,” Bureau said. 

He said speed was likely a factor in the 6:28 p.m. crash.
