Dixfield police log
• July 11: A Dixfield resident reported their name, date of birth and Social Security number were used to set up an unauthorized DISH Network account.
• July 9: A Weld Street resident advised of a person using a flashlight and prowling around his camper, peering in windows. He scared him off.
• July 8: An officer received a complaint of a juvenile violating a protective order. Charges are pending.
• July 7: A Dix Avenue resident reported hearing shots fired. An officer determined it was fireworks and within the allowable hours.
• July 7: Police responded to a domestic incident that is being investigated.
• July 6: Nathan Carrier, 29, of Dixfield went off a curve on Weld Street in his 2002 Honda and crashed. He had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by personal vehicle.
• July 5: A Dixfield resident reported the theft of his prescriptions.
• July 5: A person reported an assault. Officers investigated.
• July 3: A resident reported coming home in the early morning hours and found the house burglarized. Nothing seemed to have been taken, however a firearm had been moved. It was tested for DNA.
• July 2: An officer charged Paul I. Pratt, 58, of Wilton with operating under the influence. He is to appear in Rumford court on Sept. 11.
• June 29: Chelsea Frey, 24, of West Paris struck a deer on Weld Street with her 2016 Toyota sedan. Frey was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. The deer survived.
• June 29: Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a local business but did not locate him.
