Two women were transported to the hospital after their cars collided Tuesday afternoon at 1155 Main St. in Lewiston, according to Lewiston Police Lt. Kelly Hamel. A 2002 Honda Civic driven by Marie Cotnoir, 37, of Auburn and a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Sandra Morrisson, 43, of Greene collided, causing the Honda to crash into a tree. Cotnoir had to be extricated by the Lewiston Fire Department, Hamel said. Both drivers were transported with minor injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
