Maine State Police Trooper Nathan Jamo from Troop B in Gray recently visited four children he first met in July 2011 when their mother, Renee Sandora, 27, was murdered in a domestic violence incident in New Gloucester. Jamo stood guard on a neighbor’s porch protecting the children at the scene and eventually took them to the safety of family. He had not seen them until recently and was excited to report that all four have been cared for and raised by their grandparents. He gave them state police patches and let them look through and sit in his cruiser while answering lots of questions about his equipment. With him are Javanni, 6, Jiselle, 6, Julissa, 6, and Ja’kai, 8.
