AUGUSTA — Local author Asher Wismer’s first novel is available from Wild Wolf Publishing through Amazon.com.

Born in Winthrop, raised in North Wayne and residing in Augusta, he has written “The Sungrown: Wings,” which is set in the distant future. It’s long after an environmental cataclysm has altered Earth’s inhabitants, humans especially. Some have wings and others have mutations. It is a book of quests and discovery, romance and adventure, inspired by the classic sci-fi stories of Wismer’s youth.

Wismer joins his father, Don Wismer, as a published author of science and fantasy fiction.
