HALLOWELL — Get your deerstalker cap on for Gaslight Theater’s next production —  the murderously funny adventure, “The Hound of the Baskervilles,” from comedic genius Ken Ludwig of “Lend Me a Tenor” and “Moon Over Buffalo.”

“The Hound” will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m., Sundays, Aug. 18 through Aug. 27. The theater’s address is 1 Winthrop St.

Sherlock Holmes is on the case. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one-by-one. To find their ingenious killer Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir.

Watch as intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises, and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than 40 characters. Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can  the heroes discover the truth in time?
Tickets, $12 for adults and $10 for students,  may be ordered online at http://gaslighttheater.org/00_reservation.php  or by calling 1-207-626-3698.
