LEWISTON — Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will hold a pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Tractor Supply Company, 1619 Lisbon St.

Spay, neuter clinic for cats
RUMFORD — The Community Spay-Neuter Clinic, Cleo Fund and Help Fix ME are teaming up to bring a low-cost cat spay/neuter clinic to Oxford County.
The clinic will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19, at VFW Post 1641, 330 Waldo St.
Cats must be between 12 weeks and 5 years old and in good health. All animals will receive a wellness check, spay/neuter surgery and a rabies shot. Other basic wellness services (distemper shot, deworming, flea treatment) will also be available.
Appointments are required. The clinic is open to Oxford County residents.

Ticket auction to benefit RPC
PARIS — A ticket auction to benefit Responsible Pet Care will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Bidding will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and winners will be drawn at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets will cost $5, $10 and $20 with bonus tickets available.
There will be more than 300 items to bid. Food and refreshments will be available.
Black Cat Ball planned
BRUNSWICK — The Coastal Humane Society and Lincoln County Animal Shelter will hold a Black Cat Ball on Saturday, Oct. 8, with all proceeds going to the shelters.
The ball is set for 7 p.m. at Fort Andross Mill complex, 14 Maine St.
The winner of a $10,000 cash prize raffle will be announced at the ball. Only 500 raffle tickets will be sold.
Tickets for the ball are $60 each or $50 each for two or more.
