FRIDAY, Oct. 27

LEWISTON-AUBURN — Downtown Trick-or-Treat, 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Lewiston’s Lisbon Street and Auburn’s Main Street, sponsored by Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Event is to engage the downtown businesses and community spirit. Trick-or-treat bags and maps indicating participating businesses will be handed out by the chamber at  72 Lisbon St., Lewiston, and Festival Plaza in Auburn. A Northeast Charter trolly will shuttle trick-or-treaters across the bridge.

SATURDAY, Oct. 28

LEWISTON — Free Lewiston shredding and medicine disposal, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Lewiston High School parking lot, 156 East Ave., sponsored by AARP Fraud Watch Network, Lewiston Police Department and Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office. Documents shredded on site, no plastics or electronics. Police will take expired or unwanted medications to ensure they don’t get into hands of those who should not have them.
