1. Scarborough (7-1)

Red Storm have been getting every week since suffering only loss in Week 3, which raises the question of whether the quarterfinal bye will curb any of their momentum.

2. Bonny Eagle (8-1)

Scots rebounded from loss to Scarborough with 61-20 quarterfinal win over Deering, but Thornton Academy presents a much more formidable measure of how far they’ve bounced back.

3. Thornton Academy (8-1)

If Golden Trojans can get by Bonny Eagle, they may have another grudge match waiting for them in Scarborough, which upset them last year.

4. Marshwood (9-0)

A semifinal showdown with Kennebunk seems more inevitable as you getting your electricity back.

5. Kennebunk (8-1)

Potent Falmouth offense should be a good test for Rams’ stingy defense.

6. Edward Little (7-1)

Red Eddies are still the favorite in A North, but the road to their first trip to Fitzpatrick Stadium in 15 years isn’t paved yet.

7. Falmouth (7-2)

Much-maligned defense has allowed 6, 0 and 8 points in last three weeks.

8. MDI (8-1)

Trojans haven’t played a road game in nearly a month. They hope they still have one left in Orono.

9.  Skowhegan (5-3)

No doubt Indians took note that the B North playoffs have not been very kind to favorites so far.

10. Wells (9-0)

Warriors keep rolling, and likely won’t let up for first playoff meeting with Mountain Valley since 2011 Class B regional championship. 

A North

No. 4 Windham (5-4) at No. 1 Edward Little (7-1)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Eagles game-planned to stop the run and Red Eddies QB Grant Hartley (two passing TDs, one rushing TD) took advantage in 21-13 win three weeks ago.

No. 6 Portland (3-6) at No. 2 Lewiston (4-4)

Blue Devils’ first home playoff game since 2010 and first ever at Garcelon Field, where they are 3-1 this year.

A South

No. 5 Sanford (5-4) at No. 1 Scarborough (7-1)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Spartans avenged a regular-season loss to South Portland to advance. Can they do it again?

Saturday, 1 p.m.

Scots dominated much-anticipated meeting on Sep. 30, 49-14. But Golden Trojans had a bye last week while the Scots had to take care of Deering in the quarterfinals.

B North

No. 8 Brunswick (2-7) at No. 2 Lawrence (5-3)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Bulldogs narrowly beat then-winless Dragons, 23-20, on Oct. 6, so they may have seen Brunswick’s quarterfinal upset of Cony coming.

No. 5 Brewer (5-4) at No. 1 Skowhegan (5-3)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Witches haven’t faced Indians since  first week of preseason, well before Skowhegan’s current six-game streak of scoring 42 or more points in a game started.

B South

No. 4 Greely (6-3) at No. 1 Marshwood (8-0)

Friday, 6 p.m.

Rangers ripped off a season-turning five-game winning streak after falling to Hawks, 47-14, in Week 2, but don’t have that option this time.

No. 3 Falmouth (7-2) at No. 2 Kennebunk (8-1)

Friday, 7 p.m.

The Yactsmen’s 34 points against the Rams in Week 3 was the most of any Kennebunk opponent this season by 13 points. But the Rams put up 51, the most by a Falmouth foe.

C South

No. 4 Gardiner (4-5) at No. 1 Leavitt (8-1)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Hornets’ defense dominated first meeting, a 19-7 Leavitt victory, but Tigers, winners of three straight, seem to have learned how to win close games since then.

No. 3 Fryeburg (7-2) at No. 2 Cape Elizabeth (7-2)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Capers’ 20-7 win over the Raiders three weeks ago secured home field for rematch.

C North

No. 5 Oceanside (6-3) at No. 1 Mount Desert Island (8-1)

Mariners’ offense can score with anybody, but can it get on the field against ball-control Trojans.

No. 6 Maine Central Institute (5-4) at No. 2 Winslow (8-1)

Saturday, 1 p.m.

Two teams with winning playoff pedigrees already played one nail-biter, a 32-29 Black Raiders’ victory, two weeks ago in Pittsfield.

D South

No. 4 Mountain Valley (5-4) at No. 1 Wells (9-0)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Falcons need to play like the team that dominated Spruce Mountain last week than the one that got blown out at home by Warriors two weeks ago. The question is, will it matter as dominant as Wells has been.

No. 6 Winthrop/Monmouth (5-4) at No. 2 Madison (8-1)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Ramblers will need to set a physical tone early against faster Bulldogs.

D North

No. 4 Dexter (5-4) at No. 1 Foxcroft (6-2)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Tigers were one of only three teams to hold Ponies under 40 points in a 24-14 loss on Sep. 8. The other two were Class C teams, Madison and MCI.

No. 3 Mattanawcook (6-3) at No. 2 Bucksport (5-3)

Friday, 7 p.m.

Golden Bucks won a 48-42 shootout over the Lynx in Week 3, which was their only victory in the first four weeks.
