Leonora McGall, 92, who served as a Navy corporal in World War II, enjoys lunch at The Green Ladle in Lewiston on Wednesday afternoon hosted by the Exchange Club of Auburn. McGall served in Cherry Point, N.C., in 1945-1946. “It was the end of the war,” McGall said. “We finished off the Japs, with the A-bomb.” McGall recently returned from an honor flight trip to Washington, D.C. with fellow veterans to see the national monuments created in their honor.
