DEAR SUN SPOTS: Several weeks ago I approached a few members of the Balloon Festival Committee about having a Pal Hop reunion at the Balloon Festival next year on Saturday from 8 to 10 p.m. on the main stage. They were very excited about it. I have two committed bands, The Travelers and The Rockin’ Recons. I am looking for two other bands for that evening, but have not been able to connect with anyone from Ronnie and the Tornados, The Cobras, The Temptations, Sawdust, Gorgo and The Cavemen, or others I may not remember. There must be at least two original members from the original bands and they must have played at the Pal Hop several times. I would like any of these bands to call me at 240-0865 or email me at [email protected]. I would like to give the Balloon Festival committee a full commitment as soon as possible. This will be lots of fun!! Thank you very much!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Earlier this fall you published the name of someone who would snow-blow driveways. You said at that time you would publish a list of more people willing to do snow removal. Since snow will be coming soon, I’m anxious to find someone. Please publish the name of the original person and any others. Thanks for all you do.
—No Name, Auburn
ANSWER: Here is what I have in my rolodex from last winter. It was published on Sept. 14, when none of us were yet thinking about snow! Benner & Son is a landscaping company in Auburn, 782-4920. Eddie’s Maintenance offers snow-blowing, plowing and can even clean off your roof. You can reach them at 212-0852. Brown’s Construction specializes in roofing and siding but they also assist with home projects of all sizes, including snow removal. You can reach them at 224-2226.
If you check the classified section of the Sun Journal under “Services,” there is a subsection where contractors advertise their snow removal services. If you are a provider of these services, I invite you to advertise in the Sun Journal classifieds!
