CPR, first aid class offered
OXFORD — There will be a Heartsaver CPR and First Aid class at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Advent Christian Church, 1130 Main St.
In this course, students will learn basic first aid; adult, child and infant CPR and how to use an AED. Students should call to confirm the date.
On completion of the one-day class, students will receive a two-year certification in accordance with the American Heart Association. This certificate course is accepted for day/child care providers, loggers, guides, teachers and any other non-health care related professions.
Groups may also request to schedule a class at their convenience. Healthcare BLS CPR re-certifications are done as needed one-on-one.

‘The Truth about Cancer’ movie
LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe will continue showing the docu-series, “The Truth about Cancer,” during its next movie night.
The sixth episode, “NOCEBO Effect,” will be screened at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 791 Lisbon St.
The episode will discuss healing vaccines and advance detoxifying, and it will go inside a German cancer clinic.
The event will be hosted by Fran & Kathleen Szostek. Registration is required.
