Three people avoided injury Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on Route 121, according to Lt. Michael Ward of the Oxford Police Department. Ward said Elizabeth Dyer, 31, of Otisfield, was driving west on Route 121 in a 2017 Ford F-150 when a 2007 Honda CR-V driven by Michael Shepherd, 30, of Oxford, swerved from the opposite lane and struck Dyer’s pickup head-on. Both vehicles were destroyed and towed away by Russell & Sons Towing & Recovery. Ward said an investigation indicates the crash was caused by a combination of driver inattention by Shepherd and inadequate tires on Shepherd’s SUV. He said Shepherd was summoned to court.
