Chase Ross, 9, at left, won the District Elks Foul Shooting Contest recently. Ross is in third grade at Strong Elementary School and was victorious in the 8-9-year-old division. He previously shot in the Franklin County Elks Hoop Shoot that was held in Farmington a few weeks ago and shot 19-of-25 to win the county competition. From there he went on to shoot in the district competition and won, shooting an impressive 23-of-25. He is now being sent to the State Foul Shooting Competition being held at Lawrence High School on January 28. Pictured with Ross, at right, is State Elks President David Anderson.
