AUBURN — Auburn Fire Chief Geoffrey Low has successfully completed a four-year executive fire officer program through the National Fire Academy.
Low, who earned his chief fire officer designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence just a year ago, successfully completed a unique series of four highly-advanced, graduate-level courses.
Low’s certificate was presented by Auburn City Manager Peter Crichton at a department directors’ meeting recently.
Low has associate and bachelor degrees in fire science, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in public administration. He began his career in the fire service more than 30 years ago as a junior firefighter. He is also a paramedic and has been with the Auburn Fire Department for 23 years, serving as deputy chief and chief.
