FARMINGTON — Evelyn A. Hinkley, 78, a resident of Livermore, passed away early Saturday, Feb. 17, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, with her husband by her side, following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Boston, the daughter of William Kendall and Margaret (Cassell) Kendall. Evelyn was a graduate of Dorchester High School in Boston. On March 30, 1957, at the North Livermore Baptist Church she married Lawrence H. Hinkley. She devoted her time to her family and home. She enjoyed cooking and reading, and was very artistic.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Hinkley, of Livermore; daughters Laura Hinkley of Euclid, Ohio; Janet Opatrny and husband, David of Mentor, Ohio; and Vivian Anderson and husband, Larry, of Grants Pass, Oregon; her son, Everett Hinkley, and wife, Tzitziki, of Oakton, Virginia; nine grandchildren: Andrew, Michael, Amy, David, Megan, Sarah, Edwardo, Marilyn and Kenneth; three great-grandchildren: Maylee, Makaylee and Grayson; her sister, Dorothy Slye, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania; and her niece, Cindy Sullivan, and husband, Sean, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Marjorie Whipple, and husband, David, of Topsham.
