LEWISTON — A candidates forum Thursday at Bates College will bring together four Democrats vying to become Maine’s 2nd District representative.
The winner of the June 12 Democratic primary will challenge U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin, who has held the seat since 2014.
Expected to attend are state Rep. Jared Golden of Lewiston, nonprofit executive Lucas St. Clair, Islesboro bookstore owner Craig Olson and Monroe builder Jonathan Fulford.
The two-hour public forum is sponsored by the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee and the Bates College Democrats. It’s scheduled to begin at 6:30 in Room 204 of the Carnegie Science Building, 44 Campus Ave. Entrance is through the rounded glass doors of the main entrance to the right as you face the building from the road.
