The more I hear about politicians in Washington, D.C., the more I know Maine is fortunate to have Bruce Poliquin representing the state in Congress. As a small business owner, I have appreciated Poliquin’s advocacy for bills that benefit small businesses and lift burdensome regulations off of my back.
Unlike his extremely partisan colleagues, Poliquin understands that $1,000 in savings is not “crumbs.”
I have been consistently impressed by his energy and commitment to the people of the Second District. How many other congressmen have taken the time to attend a fifth-grade DARE graduation, as he recently did in Rumford?
It is that kind of involvement that allows him to really understand the needs of his constituents.
I wish more elected officials would follow Bruce Poliquin’s lead and focus on issues that better the lives of their constituents (i.e., their bosses), instead of worrying about their next election.
