Norway Savings Bank recently donated $5,000 to the annual fund of the Center for Wisdom’s Women in Lewiston. The bank has been an ongoing supporter of the women’s center, most recently serving as the sponsoring bank for a $500,000 affordable housing grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. Those funds will be applied to renovations of the building that will become Sophia’s House. In front are Ian Pullen, vice president, commercial lending at Norway Savings Bank, and Klara Tammany, executive director of the center; back row, from left, Lise Nsenglyumva and Nancy Reynolds, volunteers; Sarah Barton, AmeriCorps VISTA; and Sonia Turgeon, program and volunteer assistant.
