The program, titled “How to Live Before You Die: Embracing Life to the Fullest,” features a filmed interview with Sasha Vukelja, who as a young girl escaped from communist Yugoslavia and emigrated to the U.S.

Vukelja, now an oncologist, tells how she works with patients facing an uncertain future to find hope and a positive attitude.

“I tell people they have a terminal illness called life, and one day, it’s going to kill you,” Vukelja says. “If you live every day like it’s your last, one day you’re going to be right.”

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Travis Burleigh at 783-3316 or [email protected].
