Taylor Belanger, left, Amanda Frost, Kelly Lunnie and Carolyn Kennison, hidden at right, pack filmmaker bags Tuesday for the upcoming Emerge Film Festival at Rinck Advertising in Lewiston. Rinck employees prepared 25 backpacks with items from festival sponsors that will assist the filmmakers who attend the three-day festival. The Emerge opening night reception at Baxter Brewing Co. will launch the fifth annual festival at 6 p.m. Thursday. Baxter will release “Emerge IPA,” a limited-edition, draught beer brewed by Belanger and Frost. A rough-cut version of the Ben Keller documentary “Just One Step” will follow the reception at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Franco Center. Films and events will continue throughout the day Friday and Saturday at various locations in downtown Lewiston and Auburn. Go to emergefilmfestival.org for more information.
