DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m also interested in the article about the “Listening Dolls” that was in the paper recently. I would love to have the pattern if anyone has it.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In reference to a writer’s request on May 15 for a pattern to make a knitted Listening Doll, I found one online at https://tinyurl.com/yamvuq48

— Nancy, Lisbon Falls

ANSWER: Thank you, Nancy! If Priscilla and the other reader who requested this pattern don’t have access to the internet, please call your local library and ask for assistance in having this pattern printed so you can make your dolls.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to the person who is looking for area restaurants that serve oysters, we just tried the new Flux Restaurant on Main Street in Lisbon Falls and were very happy with the food. We didn’t have oysters, but they have them on their menu.

ANSWER: A gentlemen recently wrote in about finding an oyster dinner for his birthday. I hope he’s reading the column today!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a large collection of country music records (33 1/3 rpm) that I would like to give to a nonprofit group, such as the Country Music Hall of Fame of Maine.

I also have many cookbooks and some plastic boxes of recipe cards like Betty Crocker or Better Homes & Gardens, and lots of 4-ply Aunt Lydia rug yarn. Some of this is all cut for pictures, some are whole rolls. If an organization has any use for these items, please contact me at 743-2757.

Beverly, no town

ANSWER: You can reach Maine’s Country Music Hall of Fame in Mechanic Falls at 345-3075.

A soup kitchen or St. Mary’s Nutrition Center in Lewiston may be able to make use of those recipes.

SEARCH (Seek Elderly Alone, Renew, Courage, & Hope) is a Program of Catholic Charities. They may be interested in your yarn as they expressed a recent need in the May 9 Sun Spots. Call Wendy 784-0157 or e-mail [email protected].

All these items could be sold by a nonprofit at their annual yard sales to raise money as well.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your recent letter (May 1t Sun Spots) about red squirrels, etc. My husband recently took a picture of a gray squirrel with a blonde tail. Has anyone else seen one of these beautiful creatures? We love your column!

— Peg, Lisbon Falls

ANSWER: Peggy sent along a cute photo of her blonde-tailed squirrel, but unfortunately, we aren’t able to print readers’ photos in the column.
