Mexico Police Chief Roy Hodsdon presents Chase Gallant, 4, of Rumford with a certificate for a free ice cream cone for bringing his safety helmet to the bicycle safety course at the Mountain Valley Kids Fest for Child Advocacy, hosted by the Rumford Eagles on May 19. Fire & Iron Athletics and Frosty Delite Ice Cream, both of Mexico, are sharing the costs to provide the department with 100 certificates to give to youths they see doing something positive.
