Lisbon Library summer reading program
LISBON FALLS — Registration for the Lisbon Library Summer Reading Program has begun. This free program is offered by the library every year, and is open to children who are residents of Lisbon and Lisbon Falls and will be entering kindergarten through 12th grade this fall.
Designed to promote reading for fun, the Lisbon Library offers a series of weekly programs on Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m., and Tuesday evenings from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The kickoff program this year will feature a performance by magician Peter Boie at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the MTM Center, followed by Rock Painting at the library at 2:15 p.m. Advance registration is required to attend the kickoff program.

First Auburn Seniors to meet
AUBURN — The First Auburn Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, for a regular meeting and memorial service. The board meeting will be held at 10 a.m.
Those attending should bring a bag lunch and cup, and bingo will be played. Tickets will be on sale for the finger roll lunch on June 20 for $6 each.
There were 47 members present at the last meeting. Attendance winners were Carmela Hewitt and Pat Donahue; Pot of Gold, Hilda Barker, Norma Boutot and Pat Ross; and, 50/50, Jeanne Adams, Leroy Walker and Bruce Macomber.
Meet the candidates in Wayne
WAYNE — A Meet the Candidates Night will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Cary Library’s Williams House, 41 Old Winthrop Road.
After introductions, there will be questions from the floor and other conversation moderated by Doug Stevenson, followed by an informal reception. Light refreshments will be served.

Cribbage league to play
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League plays Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave.
Doors open at 8 a.m., and games will begin at 9 a.m.
The league plays through April, but games are played year-round.
