Weather spotting at Norway Library
NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library will present SKYWARN weather spotter training offered by the National Weather Service in Gray from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12.
Mike Cempa of the National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration will teach participants how to accurately spot floods, hail, severe storms and other weather phenomena. Volunteer weather spotters help the National Weather Service know what is happening locally when severe weather occurs.
Topics will include how thunderstorms develop, storm structures, how to gather and report information and how to be safe during severe weather. This program is free and open to anyone interested in weather watching or becoming a SKYWARN spotter.

Daughters of Isabella meeting
RUMFORD — St. Timothy’s Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the Holy Savior Church Hall. Chairpersons for the meeting are Nancy Martineau and Lisa Barrieau. Committee members are Gladys Gilbert, Arita Zitoli and Cecilia Arsenault.
Mary Morgan will be congratulated on her 25-plus-year membership with the Daughters of Isabella, a total of 32 years.
Wilton library annual meeting
WILTON — Wilton Free Public Library’s annual Association Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at the Wilton Free Public Library.
Wilton residents are encouraged to attend.
Norway Legion to meet
NORWAY — Meetings at the Norway Legion will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
Coffee hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays with desserts. All are welcome.
Waterford Historical Society to meet
WATERFORD — The annual meeting of the Waterford Historical Society will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14. There will be an election of trustees and potluck refreshments at the Old Town House Museum next to Keoka Town Beach in Waterford Flat.
The program for the evening will be in honor of a recent gift of a Victorian doll house to the museum. Other toys and games will be on display and participants are asked to show and tell about games or toys of their childhood.
The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to noon July 4, following some construction work being done in June.
