AUBURN — Tom MacDonald will be the featured guest speaker at Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Lunch Club from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, at the Village Inn. MacDonald will become the club’s president in July.
MacDonald has more than 30 years of banking experience, primarily in the areas of commercial credit analysis, credit policy administration and enterprise risk management. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in staff development, including designing internal training programs.
MacDonald, who resides in Scarborough with his wife, Joelle and two children, Caleb and Lydia, joined Mechanics Savings Bank in 2006 as its chief risk officer. He graduated from the University of Maine at Orono, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance and marketing, and graduated from the University of Southern Maine earning a master’s degree in business administration.
In 2006 he joined the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club, and became treasurer in 2009. He will become president of the club in July. MacDonald plans to continue the club’s involvement in many local programs, including the Great Falls Balloon Festival, the high school scholarship program, Maine Autism movie event and Christmas caroling at Schooner Estates.
