AUBURN — Maynard Edson Braley, age 73, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 30, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
He was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Auburn,a son of the late Erwin and Julia (Fuller) Braley.
He was a 1963 graduate of Edward Little High School. Maynard was also a member of the Masons for at least 30 years. He worked for most of his life as a delivery driver for Sears, retiring at the age of 50. He then drove for Bedard Pharmacy and Evergreen Subaru, and also worked at Point Sebago repairing RVs.
Maynard loved his boat and his house on the lake. He had a second family at the lake; there was not a day that he did not walk down to the beach and chat with everyone and go for a boat ride.
Maynard is lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Diane Braley, of Auburn; his nephews Tracy and Susan Braley of Cocoa, Fla., Troy and April Braley of Clermont, Fla.; his niece, Kristine and Michael Stone of Hermon; he also leaves his grandnieces and grandnephews, Sara Braley and fiance, Rob Williams, of Merritt Island, Fla., Mackenzie, Jacob and Matthew Stone of Hermon. He was also the brother of the late Loring Braley.
