Lake association annual meeting

CASCO — The Pleasant Lake and Parker Pond Association annual meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at the Casco Community Center, 940 Meadow Road.

The featured speaker will be Scott Williams, executive director of the Maine Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program. The topic will be “Status of our lakes: 25 years of monitoring the quality of Pleasant Lake and Parker Pond.”

All are welcome.

Knitting Knights to convene 

LEWISTON — Lewiston Pubic Library has announced will host the Knitting Knights from 5 to 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday in the Jeanne Couture Room.

All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no registration is required. Library staff will be available to teach new knitters, and welcome experienced knitters to share their knowledge and skills. Bottled water and hot tea will be provided, and some supplies will be available for beginners.
