The Weary Club to meet
NORWAY — The annual meeting of The Weary Club will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, in the large meeting room of the Norway Town Office.
This is an opportunity for members to hear updates as well as to ask questions or voice wishes and concerns.
Outing club plans child triathlon
BETHEL — The Bethel Outing Club will host a kids’ triathlon at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Angevine Park.

Historic mill offering demonstrations
HARRISON — Scribner’s Saw Mill & Homestead will offer equipment demonstrations from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Aug. 4 and 18, south of Bolsters Mills on Jesse Mill Road.
Barrel making will be at 1:45, the shingle mill at 2:30 and the homestead tour at 3:00.

Multi-denomination service planned
WILTON — The Ecumenical Religious Service will be in conjunction with the 200th anniversary of the First Congregational Church and be held at the conclusion of the Blueberry Festival.
The service will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at 386 Main St.
Most of Wilton Ecumenical Community Organization will participate. Each church will be given an opportunity to tell a little of the history of their church and how they celebrate Christmas, which is the theme of this year’s festival.
There will be a hymn written by a member of each denomination participating. There will also be special music and a time of fellowship.

Oxford County Democrats to meet
PARIS — Oxford County Democrats will gather at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Democratic office in Market Square for the monthly meeting and planning for summer and fall activities.
Chairman Don Berry will have a list of summer and fall dates for a Democratic presence in the region. Local candidates will be available.
The annual summer barbecue will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at the 4-H School in Bryant Pond.
