LEWISTON — A 3-year-old Lewiston girl suffered minor injuries Sunday night when she was struck by a car.

The mother of Nina Patrick had parked her vehicle at 209 Ash St. where she was unloading her family when the little girl made her way between some cars and into the roadway, where she was struck.

She was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries, police said.

Jasmine Brewer, 24, of Turner, was the driver of the 2018 Kia Sorento SUV that hit the girl. Brewer was found to be not at fault, police said, and is unlikely to be cited for any violations once the investigation is complete.

“Amazingly, she has bumps and bruises but no broken bones,” Lewiston Police Lt. David St. Pierre said of the girl.
